Bottle. Sweet Jolly Rancher candy aroma. Clear yellow. Flavor right in keeping with the aroma, artificial Jolly Rancher candy and artificially tart flavor. Light body and carbonation. The whole thing smells and tastes like a lab created food bomb, and nothing resembling a pear. In fact, pear isn’t even listed on the ingredients list which reads: fermented apple juice, carbonated water, apple concentrate (as a natural sweetener), natural flavors, malic acid, sulfite (preservative). Puleeeze! How appropriate they make a cider called Joker. This stuff has got to be a joke.

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. Pours a clear, light yellow appearance with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Sugary, crystallized rock candy, apple juice, came sugar flavor. Apple jolly rancher, very sugary, light pear, koolaid flavor. I guess it’s somewhat drinkable but it’s sugary as fuck.

Enjoyed on tap at the Boiler Room in Chicago, IL while eating dinner with some friends. App very clear pale yellow with very thin white head. Aroma pear, vanilla, cinnamon, very sweet but tasty. Taste is also sweet but has a definite crispness to it, pear and vanilla presence, I’m really liking this stuff.

12 ounce bottle from a Wegman’s. Pours a clear golden color with a huge fizzy head that quickly fades. Aroma of grainy pears and apples with a soapy note. The taste is tart apples and pears. Thin bodied.

Bottled. A light yellow perry with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of pears and a bit of pear core. The flavor is very sweet - a bit artificial with strong notes of pears, leading to a lightly tart finish.

Sweet apple aroma with a tiny bit of pear. Flavor has nice tart apple notes and sweet pear. Very fizzy and crisp. Was a nice drink in the Florida sun.

The bottle of this one only scored a 2.4 from me but the draft was significantly better. +++ Sampled on draft this cider poured a very pale yellow color with a minimal soapy white head that faded quickly and left a touch of lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar, honeydew, pear and vague spices. The flavor was sweet, tangy and a bit tart with moderate honeydew and pear and hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Long sweet and tart honeydew. Light body. Tasty and refreshing.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Almost clear as water with a light hue of green. Sweetish pear aroma. Medium body, lightly sweet/sour pear accents. Only a discreet tartness in the finish. Perhaps the pear notes appear somewhat artificial while the cider base appears quite authentic. 050709
