Bottle. Golden color. Aroma of tropical beach and breakfast buffet fruit. Taste is bitter tropical fruit. Not sure that the combination works.

Pours clear dark golden orange color with off white head. Aromas of citrus and tropical friuts. Flavors of grapefruit and caramel with understated tropical fruit. Medium body with average carbonation. I wish the papaya was a little more pronounced but I still enjoyed this one.

Well I didn’t try this on draft at the brewery on Hunahpu day when I had the chance, so I resorted to the 750ml bottle that’s on shelves now. And its really nice as it is, probably alot better on draft! Anyway, I found the papaya really under-stated and difficult to detect. The nose was dominated by peppery citric hops. The flavor also peppery with hop flavor, a good full malt background was clean and perfectly balanced, medium bitter in the finish. Perhaps the papaya gave a fruitiness that assisted with the balance? The beer was crystal clear orange amber with a nice fluffy head. I was a magician with this beer: now you see it, now you don’t. Where could 750ml of beer go to so quickly?

Location: Cask at Rattle 'N Hum, 2/20/10

Aroma: Lots of citrus hops, papaya, grapefruit, other tropical fruits
Appearance: Hazy orange color with a slight pink tinge to it
Flavor: Tropical fruit sweetness and hoppy flavors
Palate: Medium body, creamy and smooth from the cask
Overall Impression: This is a nice beer. There is a big tropical fruit feel to it. I liked it a lot, a bit sweeter and more fruity then the Mango, but rating-wise these two are pretty much on par. Really nice stuff.

From growler pouring crystal clear copper with gold edges and modest white head. The aroma is big yummy citrus, some spicy hops and likely a light note of spicy hops mixing with sweet papaya. The taste is clean and refreshing with robust citrus and spicy hop flavor to go along with pine and resiny hop bitterness. I get a hint of tropical sweet fruitiness hidden underneath the sweet malts and citrus hops. If I didn’t know there was papaya in this I wouldn’t have every guessed. I get a touch of what seems like dry roastiness improving upon the refreshing quality of this beer. I would love to try it with more papaya contact time in the treatment. The way Wayne has modified his Jai Alai brewing process has paid off big. It is a delicious IPA.
