On draught at Bodega. The beer is a slightly hazy amber-orange color with a thin white head that fizzes away quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruit, malt and yeast. Medium body with flavors of peppery yeast, bitter fruit and grainy malt. The finish is fruity with a spiced aftertaste. Decent beer, although the underlying bitter/pepper flavor is somewhat off-putting.

Draft @ Six Bistro in Hampton VA: Malt and funk nose. Hazy amber, thin head. Unroasted malt flavor and little else except for unmalted grains. Dry and tame, one of the rare misses from the hit or miss Brewmaster’s Reserve series from Brooklyn.

Draft at Paradiso Georgetown, half a mile from Obama’s house. Golden color, medium white head. Aroma of white pepper and citrus. Tastes like a weak lager.
