Draught from water front. Poured a hazy orangey brown, mild head. Hops aroma predominates; surprised this was a belgian style.

Sampled on draft at D’s in Monroeville this beer poured a vibrant dark amber color with a huge foamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was musty bread, sugar and faint notes of perfume and floral hops. The flavor was bitter and dryish with notes of fruity hops. table sugar and bread. The finish was long, dryish and had notes of sugar, fruit and must. Medium body. Ok.

Location: Draft at Brass Rail, 5/5/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly yeasty, some spice, grains, and earthy and herbal hops too
Appearance: It pours a cloudy burnt orange color with a lasting off-white head and good lacing
Flavor: Fairly malty, lots of bread/yeast, light-mid sweet with an earthy hop bitterness in the finish
Palate: The body is medium with a fairly smooth mouthfeel, ends some spice on a fairly dry finish
Overall Impression: This was a solid, interesting offering from Brooklyn. You have to give them a lot of credit for attempting many different styles.
