Hazy orange coloured body with a nice, dense thick off-white head. Aroma of bright and pungent hops, alcohol, yeast, sour grapes and a touch of malt - very nice and potent. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong assertive hops up front with a lot of sugars, some malt, some light spices and a touch of pungent yeast flavours. Aftertaste is quite complex at all with a full-bodied alcohol flavour at first, then some pungent hops, a good deal of malt and a nice sweetness to finish it off. Overall, a good and inspiring beer that showcases hops, but has a great other realm of complexity and flavour than most other beers like this actually have. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in New York, New York (Bowery) on 25-November-2011 for US$11.99 sampled at home in Washington on 29-April-2012. Batch E!016, same as pictured here on RateBeer.

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of quite intense bitter hops with some floral notes and light pickles notes from the Citra. Taste is a unique mix between some wheat malt with intense notes of bitter hops with light citrus and pickles flavours with some residual sugar also noticeable. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Interesting mix thought dry hops presence is a bit too intense and doesn’t leave much place for the wheat malt base to come through.

Nice lemon aroma, not medicinal or chemical, but real lemon. Bright, floral hops in the aroma and flavor. Nice citrus finish. A soft palate with a good, and flavorful balance of hops with real citrus.

Bottle @ home with Jetson. Cloudy, peachy orange appearance with a cream colored head. Very cool grapefruity hoppy, rich mango, orange fruity, toasty malty aroma. Fucking awesome aroma that’s bordering on a 10. Huge citrusy (pineapple, mango, orange, tons of grapefruit), slightly earthy hoppy, somewhat bitter, sweet, toasty wheat malty flavor. Kind of tastes like a fresh hop IPA with additional citrus and wheat elements.

Bottle: Poured a orange copper with white head. Aroma is citrus and hops. Taste was steep in citrus fruit, hops, and had a grainy wheat and oat edge to it.

750 ml bottle into snifter, batch E!033. Pours extremely cloudy orange amber color with a fairly dense 2 fingers of off white head with great retention that reduces to a fairly thick lacing cap that lasts. Some fairly thick lacing sticks to the glass as well. Aromas of big orange peel, grapefruit, lemon, spices, and a bit of wheat. Damn nice aromas! Super hoppy stuff. Taste of big orange peel, lemon, pine, spices, caramel, and a bit of wheat. Nice amount of bitterness present on the finish, with lingering notes of pine, orange, lemon, and caramel sweetness. Fantastic balance of bitterness and sweetness here, nothing is overwhelming. Medium carbonation and a fairly full body with a nice creamy mouthfeel. Surprisingly, absolutely no alcohol noticed at all for being 9%. Super drinkable as well for the alcohol level. Even though this doesn’t really match up with what I would expect from a wheat ale; this is fantastic with tons of hoppiness and great balance of flavor.

Capped 750 from Half Time. Pours hazy orange with a good white head. Aroma of lightly cooked, slightly sour aproicot. Med body. It’s fruity apricot with a nice smooth funk. Very nice long funky finish.
