Medium beige head. Nearly opaque black body goes dark brown at edges. Roasty mealy aroma with soy sauce notes. Dry-sweetish roasty soy sauce taste with chocolate notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry oatmeal and roasty earthy aftertaste with burnt notes. Nice, but not great. (0.4l draft at brewpub.)

on tap-pours a tan head and black color. Aroma is oyster broth, dark malt-roasty. Taste is sweet dark malt-roasty/molasses, then oyster broth. Finishes somewhat dry. Interesting.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malty, light toffee like note. Mild phenolic and fruity flavoured. Dark caramelish note. Lingering dark malty into the finish alongside a nice bitterness.

(On tap) A black beer with a reddish hue and a creamy, light brown head. Roasted - perhaps slightly burned - aroma. Body is medium with flavours of burned malt, licorice, coffee and smoke. Dry finish without much bitterness. 35 IBUs. 190307
