Draft from Btiger. Pors darkish opaque with thin clingy head. Can taste some yeast hops and maybe even citrus. A really interesting brew.

A deep dark porter with a thick dissipating mocha head. In aroma, pleasant mix of bitter chocolate, coffee grind, musty character, light peated notes, light Brett, very nice and complex. In mouth, a beautiful complex mix of bitter chocolate, peated notes, light vanilla, light powdery character, nice and complex. Bièropholie imports. About 2 years old.

Thanks to Bayerischer Bahnhof for the chance to try this beer. Beer in the glass deep black, nice brownish head. Intense malty aroma. Starts intense malty, quite roasty and dry, notes of bitter chocolate, also woody notes. Hints of coffee and liquorice. Finish more dry, spicy, still intense roasty-malty. Goes down warming. Very special beer!

Süßlich-karamelliger Antrunk, malzig-süßlich. Der Hauptteil ist malzig, dickflüssig. Im Nachgeschmack lang, holzig-karamellig, dabei mild-herb.
Ein leckeres Bier zum Genießen! 14/12/13/13

Goblet draft at Ginger Man NYC. Black body with tan head. Aroma is super bretty - way leathery, leather to the max. Behind that a nice earthy porter with light roast. Just so leathery and wild. Flavor is fruity and leather with a light fizzy finish with lots of tart juicy brett at the end. A real fun beer to drink.

Tap at Gingerman what a nice weird surprise. Pours black with nose of chocolate and Brett. Tastes funky, of Brett, berries, dark chocolate, coffee, earth, and ginger. Loved it

Location: Draft at Ginger Man (NYC), 8/15/13
Aroma: This one has a sweetish nose, with roast malts,
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a brown head and some heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet with some roasty flavors, and some mild tartness as well
Palate: It has a smooth and creamy feel, with a medium-full body, and a soft carbonation
Overall Impression: This is a pretty nice one. Tasty stuff.

11.2oz bottle shared at Madvikes. Gusher! Chunky thick brown body. Nice dishsoap beige head. Biting, infected Brett aroma. Really odd, but the sour chocolate tones sort of work. Reminds me more a Belgian than most German styles. Yeast tones smooth it out, also mellows as it sits. Funky and odd like a Fantome. Very unique, but probably different bottle to bottle. Brett forward.

33 cl bottle @ home (8.5%!). Beer came gushing out of the bottle, but I was warned, so I didn’t lose much and poured it into a big glass. Black color. Big beige head, fair lace. Aroma’s of brett, funk, tartness, roast. Flavor is actually OK, chocolatey sweet, some tartness, roast and light bitterness. Medium bodied. Finishes better than it starts, medium bitter, roasted. Not too bad for a brett beer.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a large bright brown color head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of roasted malt with loads of black chocolate notes. Taste is dominated by dry roasted malt with loads of rich black chocolates notes with very light Brett notes also noticeable. Body is full with really nice creamy texture with great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I really enjoyed that one with nice creamy black chocolate notes but I can’t say that the Brett notes were very intense or easily identifiable.
