The last of a series, Batch 10,000 Ale looks back to our home-brewing roots. After combing through the catalogs of many, many malt & hop suppliers, our brewers used over 100 different malts, grains, and other fermentables, and followed them up with a blend of 60 different hop varietals between the kettle additions and dry-hopping. The resulting beer presents a deep, chocolate brown hue and offers roasted & caramel notes from the malts mixed with an assertive hop character. Sharply bitter, the beer possesses a full mouthfeel without being heavy and will withstand aging in your cellar, if you prefer.

Cloudy brown beer. Small pale tan head. Smooth soft palate. With 60 hops in this beer it is pretty malt led! Dark toffee, cream, molasses and a trace of marmite. Whispers of hop pine and fruit but it’s all about the malt here. Finishes with a mild carbonated bite and a mildly bitter aftertaste. Disappointing - a definite case of more is less here. Hebrew do this much better.

Bottle pour into tulip. I bought a six-pack and drank all but one when they were fresh. I just finished the last one and wish I had drank one fresh and saved the rest. Batch 10,000 is a smooth, flavorful, enjoyable delivery system for 12 ounces of 9.2% ABV.

12 oz. bottle, pours a dark, dark reddish brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of treacle toffee, dark dried red fruits and molasses. Flavour of molasses, treacle toffee, and dark roasted malt. The sweetness becomes more pronounced the more you drink. Nevertheless, this is very rich and well-balanced between the sweetness and roasted notes. Quite complex and decadent, if a tad sweet.

12 oz bottle from lionsandbeer. Nose is roast, caramel, chocolate, with hints of vanilla and whiskey. Hazy cherry brown with a medium, heavy lacing, beige head. Flavor is bitterness, light contrasting sweetness, and lots of caramel with light cocoa. Finishes lightly bitter.

Bottle. Thanks to Secret Santa! Rating #10,000. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty hoppy weak piney aroma with hints of caramel. Slightly roasted malty bitter hoppy weak piney flavor. Has a roasted malty bitter hoppy piney caramel finish.

Bottle thanks to urbancaver. Pours dark root beer brown. Nose of toffee and earth. Tastes of caramel, cola, earth, leather, licorice, figs, and malt. It’s drying on finish and slightly warming.

Caramel colored with a thin tan head. Very boozy aroma. Thick caramel malts, dark fruits, toffee. Full bodied. Flavor is much like the aroma- very boozy. Dark fruit, caramel malts, toffee, some pine hops, light cocoa. FInish is malty and alcohol. A winter warmer to say the least. Good brew.

Bottle: Poured a medium murky brown color ale with an average size foamy head with light retention. Aroma of fusel alcohol, caramelized malt with a bunch of other characteristics that are hard to describe. Taste has lots going on with notes of fusel alcohol, caramelized malt, light smoke, some paint and astringent finish. Body is quite full with good carbonation and some apparent alcohol. I guess this is what happened when you throw everything in the kettle.
