12oz can a rarity these days. Clean looking amber. Nose is light caramel and leaf litter. Tastes of earth, caramel, little rootbeer. Light sweetness. Not overly dry.

Very, very sweet, with a massive wave of caramel on the front end coupled with mild veins of clove and a little candy apple. Finishes with a moderate bitterness and a note of toasted bread, then gets a little saccharine in the fade. Sloppy.

12 oz. can purchased at Total Wine & More - Melbourne, FL. Pours a clear dark bronze color with a thick khaki head and good retention. No lacing. Caramel malt aroma. Strong, sweet caramel malt flavor too. Good example of the American interpretation of the style. Rich, almost syrupy. Very low carbonation. No bitterness. Too sweet to have more than one.

Can, from Milk and Hops - UES. Pours faintly cloudy dark amber with foamy large light beige head, faint caramel aroma with grassy hops, high carbonation, medium bitter caramel-toasted malt taste, smooth body, long finish. Very tasty and flavorful marzen.
