Served on cask at the brewpub on 10/20/10. Pours a very dark but clear amber-ruby color. Thin head with decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of molasses, maple, burnt sugar and chocolate. The taste is lightly bitter roasted malts, molasses and brown sugar. Fairly sweet but not overly so. Medium bodied. Quite an interesting beer.

Cask at the brewpub. Reddish brown color, off white edge head, scant lacing. Aroma of roasted coffee, coffee grounds and brown sugar. Taste reminds me of a light version of shoo fly pie. Light bodied, decent English style porter.
