Bottle at my Uncles house, PA - 20/05/12. Slightly hazed copper/amber with an off white head. Malt, grain, bread, cereal nose. Bready malt taste allied to wheat and grain and a little spice. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle. Beer of the month club. Clear amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma of light floral hops, some malt and graininess and a hint of butter. Sweetish flavor with some malt, grains and caramel notes, continues mildly bitter with light hoppiness. Medium-bodied. So-so.

Bottle. Clear bright copper with a moderate off white head. Caramel malt and very, very light pineapple hops aroma. Toasty malt flavor and a light bitter finish. Pleasant but unremarkable.

Pour is a dull orange with a small white head. Aroma is a decent caramel malt and not much else. Flavor is some grainy malt with not much of a hop profile. Nothing really great as this has almost no hops showing up for being classified as a APA.

Botttle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy orange amber with little head. Aroma is roasty/bready with something that suggests hop. Med body. Flavor is slighty roasty bready with a suggestion of bitterness that might be from hop or grain. It has so much malt that it drinks like a beer with a heavier ABV. So it’s finishing sweet, but not so sweet as to be sickening, and the bitter is building with time. Some might call this balanced. I’m not always good at that determination, but it looks like it’s not a drain pour. Surprised about that.

Draft @ Lancaster Brewing Company, Harrisburg, PA. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma with hoppy hints. Fruity malty grainy caramel flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel finish.

on draft at the brewpub, pours light gold, with a medium white head. Aroma is grainy, some rye as well. Flavor is mellow rye and toasted malt with moderate hop bitterness, very earthen.
