Fudge and oats with subdued bourbon accents. Mahogany, thick tan head, fair retention no lacing. Bourbon is more assertive on the front of the palate, but gives way to roasted malt notes and coffee. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy brown head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was bourbon, coconut, chocolate syrup and sweet vanilla. The flavor was bitter and roasty with notes of coconut, vanilla, bourbon and marshmallow. Medium length finish. Moderately full bodied.The alcohol was well contained. Tasty.

Draught @ Fire Works, Arlington, VA. Pours cloudy very dark brown with stable tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and roast. Bitter, roasty flavour, giving way to sweetish notes of malt and coffee. Mildly bitter aftertaste. Well balanced and nice, if a little watery.

Pours flat, dark black. old coffee beans and duct tape with some vanilla. very roasty with a lot of up front barley roast. Some espresso beans and hershey’s chocolate minus the sweetness. Very little barrel characters. MOuthfeel is thin.

Jet black with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, berry fruits and whiskey. Full bodied mouth feel, with flavours of black coffee, prunes and milk chocolate, leading to a boozy, dryish finish. Good.

On draft at spacebar falls church. Black pour with a tan head. Subtle chocolate and bourbon nose. Vanilla, dark cherries and chocolate notes. Mild finish.

Tap at Depot. Dark roasted coffee malt, chocolate, oaky bourbon aroma. Black with a large thick creamy head. Oaky bourbon, chocolate, and vanilla flavor. Full smooth body, soft carbonation.
