Our Dry Hopped American Pale Ale (APA) is charged with American hops to create a bold, aromatic ale. Bottle. Slightly hazy golden to orange with a white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma, citric and weedy, with a bit of malt. Flavor has a bit of sweetish maltiness, nice citric hops and a pleasant bitter finish, somewhat piney. Medium-bodied. A good APA.

On tap at the brewpub it is a clear golden with a slight white head. The aroma is of citrus and the flavor carries through with the citrus and a bitter palate.

On draft in the the tap room at the brewery in St. Louis. Pours a clear copper with a white head. Citrus hop aroma. Done grassy notes and a malty backbone. Smooth mildly bitter finish. Nice.

12oz bottle. Orange-tan body, slight haze. Steady, respectable head. Bright lemon-orange citrus rind aroma. Kind of comes off oily. Better than their Pale Ale, but still rather insipid, sort of one-dimensional Toasty golden malt on top of soapy, rindy hops. Not impressive. run of the mill.

Tap @ Schlafly St. Louis. Pours a clear, golden orange appearance with a white head. Somewhat piney, a bit spicy hoppy, pale malty aroma. Fairly pedestrian flavor: notes of flowers, pine, citrus, and toasted malts, though all are weak.

Aroma: The nose has some dry hops, grassy and leafy, some light citrus/lemon, and a little caramel
Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a thick fizzy and foamy head and medium lacing
Flavor: The taste is lightly sweet, with some juicy hops, and a mid-plus bitter hop component
Palate: The body of this one is medium, with a fairly soft carbonation, and a somewhat dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought that this one made for a fairly solid APA. I found this beer to be pretty well-made and fairly drinkable.

Bottle. Light caramel malt and citrus aroma. Slightly hazy amber with a moderate off-white head. Caramel malt, citrus, and a little spice flavor. Medium body with a dry finish.

4oz draft from Hangar 9 from a flight. Pours a clear light orange. Aroma of piney hops. Taste is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Taste of sweet citrus hops. Light bodied with medium carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, very good. My favorite of the Schlafly flagships.

Bottle thanks to Pollack. Pours cloudy gold. Nose of citrus, pine and caramel malts. Taste is spiced hops, pine, citrus and caramel malt. Nice dry spiced hop finish.

Glowing orange with a large, rocky, off-white head. Lemon, light citrus hops, and light malt. Body is a bit thin. Flavor has grapefruit, lemon, light floral, and very light malt. Pretty decent pale but a little one dimensional. Still, I’d go for it again.
