It is typical Country Bitter, clean tasting hoppy without being over bitter. Sussex Bitter is the most popular King and Barnes beer. King & Barnes were acquired by Hall & Woodhouse in 2000.

[Cask at Archery Tavern, Paddington, London] A nut brown beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of nuts - a quite faint aroma. The flavor is sweet nutty and fruity.
