Our classic Northwest Pale Ale is a rich chestnut-colored gem, and model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade Hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the Crystal Malt. This beer has a vocal following; to run out is an unforgivable sin.

Draft, live at the Crystal Ballrooom location. A hazy dark amber beer with a thin rim of off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with distinct notes of hops, combined with caramel and hints of spices. The flavor is sweet malty with strong grassy and spicy hop notes, the spices include cinnamon, leading to a dry spicy and bitter finish.

Draft: Copper color pour with a medium head. Good lacing. Hoppy aroma of citrus, some hints of floral. Taste is malt and floral hops with citrus and fruity tones peeking through. Balance of sweet to hoppy from the caramel and cascade hops. Nicely balanced, but moderate in intensity.

Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this at the Nashville Tasting. This forms a good white head that crowns a clear dark amber body. Weak aroma that is mostly malt and little hops. There is too much sourness in the flavor for my palate, this one didnt get finished. This comes off more as a poor Amber Ale than an APA. It misses that by a wide margin.

Clear amber colour with very little aroma. What there was was nice. Nice hoppy tones to a malt body with a bit of fruit. It’s middling good with a balance. What there is, well put together.

On tap at The Ram Hotel, Portland. Cloudy amber with disappearing beige head. Ooh this is bad too. Some odd hop with caramel. Bit of fruit. This is bad.
