From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden amber with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light fruity. Bitter, crisp hoppy, peachy and grapefruity. Lingering fruity and crisp hoppy finish.

Creamy head, lots of small white bubbles. Unclear medium amber. Grapefruit and orange aroma. Flavour of pomegranate, blood oranges and ripe grapefruit. Pleasant mouth-feel. Bought at QFC Wallingford, Seattle and shared at the Superpower beer session in Tromsø 29.01.09

12oz shorty bottle. Pours a murky brown-orange color with a monstrous foamy off-white head. Toasty malt and bitter west coast hop aroma. Certainly has a nice west coast hop bite to it, with a solid malty backbone as well. Well balanced, with a somewhat soapy, bitter aftertaste laced with malty sweetness. Somewhat middle of the road for a Northwest IPA, certainly a well-crafted, enjoyable beer.

Aroma: Nice citrus hop whiff, grapefruit, some tropical fruits there as well, a touch of caramel as well
Appearance: Pours a hazy orange-amber color with a thin head
Flavor: Not quite as nice as the nose, sweet citrus hops are there, some spice and caramel malts, balanced, lacking bite
Palate: Decent mouthfeel here, medium body, pretty decent
Overall Impression: This one started off nicely, nice pour, nice nose, but unfortunately the flavor was just a bit lacking. I'm not going to kill this one by any means, it is solid, but to me, it just didn't have that hop bite that I look for in an IPA. I'd almost describe it as an ESB hiding as an IPA, if that makes any sense.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy copper color with a small head. Left, citrus and metallic hop aroma. Taste is citrus hops with herbal notes and sweet malts. Medium bodied.

This 355ml bottle was airborne from Seattle to be sampled at a beer session in Tromsø, thanks to Stefan and Elisabeth. Off-white, creamy and bubbly head with good retention. Unclear, mid amber body. Smooth citric hoppy aroma. Flavoured with blood oranges, late citrus fruits and bitter grapefruits in the aftertaste. Rounded mouthfeel [29.01.2009].

Bomber from Bottleworks; Nose is floral, citrus, and a touch of pine hops and honeycomb smell from the maltiness; cloudy copper-orange with a two inch pale yellow head that laces as it very slowly recedes; flavor is moderate bitterness, pine, a very light maltiness; excellent!
