On tap at Hale's, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Nose brings out notes of citrus, banana, and clove. Flavour brings out a lot of banana and citrus upfront, with light clove underneath. Very banana-y. Round palate that is drinkable enough, despite not being wheaty at all.

Best American hefeweizen I’ve had to date. Only complaints are a little too light weight, and not enough sediment. Pours out a hazy orange golden with medium foamy head. Head could be a little creamier and have a bit more substance. Aroma is normal weizen, bananas, bubblegum and wheat. Body is a bit thin, but taste is right on the money. Good job from Hale’s.

12oz can, I think relatively fresh. Poured into a Blvd tulip glass. This beer is weird, I don’t think its actually a Hefe. The beer is only hazy, surprising for an unfiltered wheat. The beer is also generally more like a cheap Wit without spices as opposed to a Hefe. Cereal malts with orange esters and only light banana aspects. Even worse than I thought it would be.

12oz can. Looks filtered...which would be odd for the style. Lots of active rising carbonation bubbles inside an orange-tan body. Not that impressive of an aroma for the style. Taste is OK, some banana, but some slight plastic off tones. Not that good, but not horrible.

Draught at Hales Ales Brewery and Pub
Cloudy pale blond color with compact head. Light aroma, with hints of lemon and banana. Dry mouthfeel, also too weak; not much wheat flavor, but it has a light touch of banana; no spices; very low bitterness.
Simple hefeweizen.

Bottle, 22oz. A hazy, orange-golden beer topped by a dense, white head of moderate size. Lots of bubblegum in the aroma, as well as banana, cloves and some dough. A touch of cloves as well. Semi-sweet, with bubblegum, banana, cloves and some honey notes in the flavor. Medium body, not as carbonated as I prefer the hefes.Bitterness, bubble gum and banana in the finish, some cloves as well. A decent one indeed, but that’s it. 130701
