12 oz can from Tavour. Black, oily pour, no head to speak of. Aroma and taste are big, full coconut notes, soem chocolate. Right amount of sweetness and velvety smooth. I enjoyed the hell out of this.

Draft pour at Barley Forge, Costa Mesa. This must be the fine line between stout and sweet stout. This is rich. Tastes like German Chocolate cake. Creamy. Overwhelming coconut cream. Too sweet. Touch soapy as well. I might like the nitro a little better. Not bad, but wish this was a little more bold.

The Aromas are coconut cocoa roast with dark malt in the background. Flavors are like nose, strong Bitter Sweet with sweet upfront and a heavy bitterness on the tongue that lasts through the Finish. The coconut is kind of heavy, stronger than I would prefer personally. Nice beer but not quite balanced.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a flat brown-black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing. Aroma of malt, coconut and fruit. Medium body with flavors of toasted coconut, tropical fruit and chocolate malt. The finish is roasty with a malt and coconut aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is coconut and some chocolate. Might be a rye note. Med body. Flavor is coconut, chocolate and a light rye touch. Interesting and reasonably tasty. Finishing earthy and somewhat towards dry. Somewhat.
