Thick and boozy barleywine blended greatly with all the Arran barrels. Woody, whisky, caramel, tiny hint of smokyness. Lovely.

Bottle. Brown amber pour. Aroma of fruity whisky, raisin, caramel fudge, figs and malt. Taste of soft fruity whisky, oak, caramel fudge, raisin, dates, figs, sticky toffee and a caramely boozy finish. Sticky mouthfeel. Nice one, just a bit too boozy.

Amber with off white head - Wood and spirit aroma - Malt body with wood, dark fruit with some alcohol heat - Then malt, dark fruity tones and alcohol het goes into the finish - This was real good

Fles van het Biermoment. Iets te veel spiritus op hout, enorme bak krenten en rozijnen. Smaak bevalt me beter, maar niet mijn ding.

Bottle (from hetbiermoment). Pours dark brown. Aroma is whisky, booze, malt, oak, slight acetone. Flavor is sweet and bitter, sugar, caramel, oak, some acetone, malt. Finish is sweet and oaky. Overall: good, but acetone kind of ruins it for me.

Rødbrun lett tåkete med lavt beige skum. Lukter svisker, gjær og mørke stenfrukter. Fyldig. Smaken er søt, maltig, svisker, lett brent karamell og noe plast. Middels lang.

Dark brown with thin head. Aroma has lots of dry woody notes. Flavour has a lot of brown sugar sweetness and a very dry finish. Warming and a bit boozy.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown color with a medium to full sized off-white to beige head that lasts for a decent while and leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma is malts, huge whiskey and barrel influence. Flavor is malts and again firm to very firm whiskey and barrel influence, raisins, overripe dark fruits, overripe plums, dark brown candy sugar, caramel, caramelised sugar, sweetish, but malt and alcohol bitter in the finish / aftertaste as well. Wow, heavy barley wine (although I'd call this an American Strong Ale rather than a Barley wine, but that's just my two cents...) but that's what I had expected. Nice after a couple of beers that already were pretty good but -imo- too much to drink on your own.
