Refrigerated 30 cl brown bottle poured into a small weizen glass. Opaque orange with medium off-white head. Aroma is clove, medium body, medium/well carbonated, and good small-bubble lacing. Taste is clove and some banana. Pretty nice really.

White fluffy head on a clear lousy dark lemon coloured body. Medium bodied, average carbonation with a cloying back. Wheat, chalk, sweet citrus & generally quite fruity. Refreshing if nothing else!

30cl bottle. A slightly hazy pale golden beer wiith a mid-sized most good lasting white head. Aroma of mid sweet banana, wheat malt, some hay and citrus. Taste of phenolic esters, banana, dough, some spices.

Süffiger, würzig bananiger Beginn ohne große Süße. Weiche, eher hintergründige Herbe, mittelstarke Hefenoten. Spritzig, zum Ende etwas säuerlihc. Insgesamt harmonisch und erfrischend mit typischen Weizenaromen ohne zu süß zu sein. 9/7/8/9/8/9

Hazy golden with little white head. Aroma is dish water and the average weizen yeast banana stuff. Taste is the same. Somewhat watery but better when warmer. A bit flat and not full bodied. Meh.

Bottle from an Albert Heijn in Lekkerkerk, The Netherlands (thanks to Anke). Pours hazy pale yellow with a small, frothy, white head. Weird aroma of banana, wheat, spices, ’wet malt’, soap and vegetable. It tastes light to medium fruity sweet, light spicy bitter and light wheaty sour. Light body, soapy texture, fizzy carbonation. A German Hefeweizen, come again? It’s a rather bland Witbier and nothing more.

Van tap gedronken in cafë in de Pijp. Weizen blijft voor de namiddag een favoriet van mij, maar de smaak van deze is wat wateriger dan van de Duitse (vind ik).
