300ml bottle. Clear, mahogany colour with weak, dark ruby shimmer and small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Caramel and dark malty, minimally fruity aroma, a touch of cherry, aspartam, slight sherbet character overall. Taste is sweet-and-sour, sugary sweetness, citric tartness, malty hints of caramel, a fruity touch of cherry and lemon, some artificial sweetener as well. Watery texture, indifferent palate, medium carbonation. Quite sugary, industrial Radler-sherbet hybrid, pretty far away from a serious Oud Bruin.

Flavor has caramelled sugar, chichorei and coffee. Sweet and a nasty kind of bitterness.

Fles geprobeerd op het terras. Het is een donkerbruim bier met een dunne schuimkraag. De geur is moutig en wat zoet. De smaak is gebrande mout, cholcolade en erg zoet. Drinkt lekker weg.

0.33l bottle. Dark brown body with a beige head. Aroma and taste of dark sugar, sour cherries, chocolate and cocoa. Not my kind of beer, but if one likes very sweet beers, then this is a nice option.

Bottle at Eetcafe ’T Voske, Berg En Terblijt, South Limburg, Netherlands, Wednesday 29th June 2016, Pours dark reddy brown with a light beige head atop. Really sweet, chewy caramel. A little fruit but owing to low abv and sweetness lacks complexity. A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9

Light malt aroma. Dark brown color, medium but short head. Too sweet, some English Bitter feeling but covered by sweetness.

0.3 l bottle from ’drankgigant.nl’, best before November 2016. Clear, very dark red with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, tan head. Sweetish-malty, slightly grainy aroma of caramel, brown sugar and sweet malts. Sweet, malty taste of caramel, brown sugar and some nuts, followed by a short, bittersweet finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Yes, very sweet, of course, but nothing wrong with it all. No depth and a bit artificial as well, but easily drinkable if you can stand the sweetness.
