Small beige head, gone in secs over deep ruby-cola coloured beer. Nutty, chocolatepaste, sweet, very faintly fruitesters, jam. Sweet, maltdrink, purely sweet malts with colouring, brown sugar, molasses. Cola finish. with a touch of nutmeg warming up. Spritzy carbonation, gristslick, empty. Even when some similarities to British brown ales might exist here, this is more akin to Be/French tafelbier - the kind of thing the kids got in a bygone age. In this perspective, not too bad.

Disgusting beer - no aroma or taste profile whatsoever, it’s just a sweet carbonated beverage.

30cl Bottle from AH. Clear deep dark ruby - brown colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, brown sugar, some pumpernickel, hint of roast, cocoa. Flavour is likewise, quite sweet, sugary, metallic, but not as sweet as moat other Dutch Oud Bruins. Almost came across as second running from their Dubbelbock.

330 ml. bottle sample @ train-ride post Oersoep / Van Moll Festival week-end with Sebletitje. Cheers! Purchased @ Albert Heijn. BBF 04/2016. Reddish dark brown, little tanned head. Nose is super sweet, candy sugar, hugely artificial, chemical, extracts, crazy sweet. Taste is super sweet extracts, caramel syrup, hugely artificial. Very artificial body. Good for a table beer I suppose, the ABV is too high for that. Good if you something akin to beer mixed with Coca-Cola.

Smooth-sweetish beginning. Malty and fresh, nice malty bitter till the end. Hints of burned sugar, but sadly aroma of artificial sweetener. The aftertaste is slightly bitter, burned, dark and malty-sweet. Not bad and easy to drink!
