75cl bottle plucked from the cellar during the Summer heatwave ☀️☀️☀️ which seems a good a time as any. Tastes incredible, does not taste old or aged whatsoever, despite being 14 years old. Great depth, vibrant woody edge, great coarse elements with excellent cherry fruit. Wonderful.

2023 vintage, tasted oct 22 2025. aroma of fresh cherries, fresh lambic.
clear light red with a large pink head that very soon fizzles away.
flavor is tart and slightly bitter lambic with a very nice fruity notes from the cherries. quite dry. tiny bit of leather. one of the better krieks i've tasted. not at all artificial or sweet, the fruits really attenuate the lambic well. no off flavors. the 7% is well hidden. Great kriek, well above average for the style.

Nice cherry taste, hints of Brettanomyces, tart? Yes. Sour? Yes. Best before February 16th 2033 so bottled February 2023?

Poured from 375mL bottle (2019 blend; bb 19 Apr 2025). Clear medium dark ruby red with full pink-ish white head. Soft dark tart cherry skin, fairly subdued, feint earthy funk underlies. Decent, but not a standout by any means.
