Bottle 0.75l, many thanks, Martin! Clear, red colored. AROMA- sharp, leather, shoe cream, sour cherries. FLAVOR- sour, sharp, sour cherries, leather. Medium to fuller bodied.

Woweee. The Cuvee Rene series lives up to its reputation, as this is a world class kriek. Nose: funky sour cherries, hayloft, leather, yeasty sourdough. Drying on the palate, lip-smacking cherry sweetness with a biting acetic sourness, perfectly matched and just so appetizing. I can taste sour candy on my lips between sips. Deep cloudy purple color with short lived faint purple head.

Bottle, December 2016. Dark ruby colour, almost no head. Aroma is lots of sour cherry, wild. Heavy sour, not sweet. Lively carbonation, light body. Good.

At de Krijmerie van Gaasbeek, Lennik. Shared with Anke. Paired with a custom ice coupe (coconut, chocolate, salted caramel).
Bottled: 9/12/2016. Pours clear dark red with a lasting, thin, pinkish head. The aroma contains wild sour cherries, yoghurt & lactic acid, yeast, hint of jam & leather. It tastes medium to heavy funky sour with notes of sour cherry and cherry pits, and only very light fruity sweet; tart, dry, acidic, finish. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. A great introduction to the style for anyone.
