Bottle at home, black beer with a small head, aroma is roasted coffee, malts. Taste is malts, peppers, some roasted coffee. quite long aftertaste of the pepper burn... good one

Draught @ 6th Borefts Beer Festival 2014, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Het Uiltje Flaming Ass-Owl ].Clear dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, sweet malt, light earthy - smoke. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, earthy, roasted, sweet malt, light chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140927]

Borefts VI. Keg. Opaque brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is airy and dry, fine carbonation. Mild dark malts, I can taste a little coffee before the chilli itchy burn starts and completely subsumes everything. The uncomfortable heat carries on well in to the aftertaste. Well and truly overspiced.

330ml bottle @ the 9th Shrewsbury Bottle Share Oct 14, thanks to Simon. Pours black with a beige head. Lots of fiery chili from the off, with some earthy pepper and root ginger notes and a touch of maple syrup to quell the pain. Would’ve much preferred to cook with this than drink it but still an interesting and powerful taste on its own.

33cl Bottle: BBD Apr 15. Shared between four at the Oct 14 Shrewsbury Bottle Swap: cheers Simon. Poured black with a tan topping. Aroma had a pepper and mini ginger hint within the maltiness. The taste was similar to the nose, semi-sweet maltiness with a pepper/chilli/hot ginger feel: strange and different. I do not usually like any ginger flavours in my beers but this was mild and complimented the other ’hot’ tastes. Hid the alcohol well and a found it a pleasant beer all round.

33cl bottle from ABCBeers. Thin creamy tan head. Clear black pour. Slight pepper burn. Much better than the pepper spray porter. Better balanced.

Keg at BBF 6, 26/09/14. Light black with a moderate tan covering that dissipates to spotting and edgework. Nose is light roast, earthy notes, dark toffee, spice. Taste comptises dark malts, green pepper, earthy chocoalte, spice, light booze. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a chilli kick. Ok but I wont be rushing back to this one.

[9/26/14] Draught sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2014 in Bodegraven. Black with a small beige to light brown head. Aroma of dark fruits, chocolate and chili. Roasty flavor with some smoke and a burning hot chili finish. Full-bodied. Really hard to drink.

33cl Bottle from Melgers, thanks Erik! Black colour, beige head. Aroma of smoked peppers, leather, ink, roasted malts, liquorice. Flavour is sweet Jopen yeasty flavours, liquorice, hint of chocolate, smoked peppers, light fruity, nice chili burn, not nearly as hot as the Pepperspray Porter, but I can see people think this is still too much. Medium-bodied. Nice stuff.
