Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 20A, adapted). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L4670132101 (BBF 13.JAN.18). AROMA: medium-high chocolate cookie-like aroma, slight Maillard, molasses and medium-high peppery alcohol. APPEARANCE: black color and opaque. medium Brown head with medium-low retention. TASTE: initial roasted flavor with a lightly burnt character, evolving into dark chocolate that fades. medium bitterness with a dry and roasted (almost burnt) finish. PALATE: medium-high to high body with medium-low carbonation. no astringency. OVERALL: a nice imperial porter.

Bottle at home. Three year old. Has a very dark brown to black colour with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee beans, brownies, licorice, rye bread, ash and some smoke. Nice flavour with lots of chocolate, ash and roasted coffee beans. Has a slick and oily mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. A well-balanced porter which is dangerously easy-drinking and with lots of chocolate.

Riktigt gott.

11.2oz bottle at BV. Rich, sugary Imperial Porter. Steady attractive beige head, rusty. I believe this is my first Spanish craft beer. Sugary, good, but not on a World Class level. Sweet for the style. lots of unfermented sugars. Enjoyable, but not a prime example of the style. Brown sugar milk chocolate. Mild tobacco.

Leicht süßer, röstig malziger Antrunk. Die Malzigkeit bleibt verhalten, wenig herb, hintergründig ist der Alkohol erkennbar. Rund, kurzer Nachhall. Ok. 8/9/8/8/8/8

Bottle 330ml (Systembolaget)
Dark opaque brown color, small brownish head. Bready, toasted and some alcohol in the nose. Medium to full-bodied. Very dark chocolaty flavor. Same time some alcohol and similar caramalt sweetness than in Baltic Porters. Some coffee in the finish. Robust and interesting.
