Huge dark brown head. Nearly opaque black body shows trace of dark brown light at edge. Roasty wild berry aroma with minty coffee notes. Dry-sweet roasty coffee taste with resiny wild berry notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish roasty earthy chocolatey aftertaste with wild berry and toffee notes. An excellent beer! Harmonic, drinkable and very good. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle from Ølbutikken. 9.5 % ABV. Black with a big and lasting head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, dark chocolate and cocoa. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted rather bitter finish with a little warming alcohol. Oily and soft. 250114

11.2 oz. bottle, pours black with a medium light brown head. Aroma brings out roasted malt, cocoa powder, and some light coffee. Flavour brings out a ton of coffee, followed by light roast and cocoa powder. Definitely a coffee-centric porter. Lively carbonation, but it all fits together really well. Full-bodied and highly drinkable. Wonderful stuff.

No cambia nota. Bastante buena.

Bottle. Pours black with a brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a very deep roast with a bit of licorice, dark grains and a hint of bitter coffee. Flavor has a good amount of chocolate with roasted malts and a backbone of earthy dark grains

Bottle. Almost pitch black beer with a very strong and frothy brown head that takes ages to dissipate. The aroma is lightly roasted, and the flavour is rich, extremely well roasted and bitter with a milky and mellow finish. Overall a really good very strong porter.

Pours a fairly opaque dark brown with the faintest of garnet highlights at the edges and a huge fluffy tan head that takes forever to recede. Aromas of dark bitter chocolate, roasted coffee, hints of licorice, a touch of dark pitted fruit, tobacco, and brown sugar. Light bit of earthy hop aroma is faint but there. The flavor is roasted creamed coffee, with hints of caramel and dark chocolate. A light vanilla sweetness creeps in midway with a slight touch of cardboard and a warming alcohol presence. Lingering roasted grain and earthy hop flavor and bitterness linger long after each sip. Medium to thick body with a creamy velvety smooth mouthfeel and a light level of carbonation. Feels like a milk stout at times, only bigger. The roast is strong in this one and I would have liked a hint more fruity character. Still this is a very nice beer.

330ml bottle [9.5% abv]. Darkest brown colour with reawakening, average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige to tan head. Nuttily dark malty aroma, roasted nuts, hazelnut, bitter almond, liquorice. Taste is dark malty, roasty, salty, some liquorice, subtle sweetness, hints of molasses, some warming alcohol in the finish; oily texture, sticky palate.
