Roasted caramel in the initial sensation, followed by some hops, finishes dry. Pleasantly agreeable for the duration.

Clear dark amber colour, large creamy beige head, good retention and abundent sticky lacing. Toasted malt aroma, nuts, caramel. Taste light to medium sweet, light bitter, roasty, caramel. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, light spicy sweetbitter aftertaste, roasted malts, chocolate notes. Develops more bitterness towards the finish, quite nice Alt with roasted malts as most distictive element.

On tap at Im Goldenen Ring, Düsseldorf. Clear reddish/brown with a medium head. On the sweet side with dark bread, fruit, caramel and some nuts. The finish was dry. A bit different but an ok one.

Copper colored beer with big bubbled head. Wet cardboard all the way. Some hops are sensible, but they’re in the back. Hints of DMS. Medium to high bitterness, medium carbonated, slick texture, medium body.

0,5 l bottle. Decent art work. Pours out in a dark amber, huge head. Malt on the nose. Starts with toasted malt. Later more dark malt. Little bit herb, mid bitterness. Not bad.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear dark amber, thin white head. Aromas of toffee, with metallic and light herbal notes. Herbal notes stronger on the taste, more malty toffee. Light body, slightly oily texture, sweet finish. OK.

500ml bottle, thanks to Beerhunter111! Pours clear chestnut brown with thin head. Nutty wood varnish aroma. Something not quite right about the taste here, stale hops maybe..? Thin & watery too. Two months before BBD but I think this has sadly reached the end of its life. Shame.
