Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks troubles. Clear golden. Aroma of hay, a bit of graininess and a bit of herbal hops notes. Flavor has light grainy sweetness, some herbal hops, and decent bitterness. Light to medium-bodied.

Pours a clear golden color, topped with a very decent frothy white head. Malty aroma, quite sharp grassy notes present. The taste is bittery, a spicey feel to it, a nice bitterness. Ok, drinkable, but a bit off.

Mit solchen Themen und dazugehörigen Etiketten sollen besonders Stadtmenschen im Norden angesprochen werden, welche sich nach Natur und Heimat sehnen. Als ehemaliger Dorfbewohner, bin ich aber froh, inzwischen die Freuden der Stadt zu erleben und nicht die falsche Freundlichkeit des Dorfes (dann lieber die ehrliche Unfreundlichkeit der Stadt). Ähnlich verhält es sich bei diesem Bier. Es soll zwar ländlich-idyllisch wirken, ist aber ein einfaches Industrie-Märzen. Zwar glaube ich der bayrischen Brauerei seine Heimatverbundenheit, aber das ist zuviel des Kitsch. Ein durchaus solides Bier, aber mit zuviel Tratra rundherum.

0,5 l bottle. It looks really nice: clear, pale golden-yellow with thick, creamy, white head. The aroma is of sweetish malts, grass and grains. Boring. Slightly sweetish and empty taste with hints of malts and grains. Short, light bitter finish. Average carbonation, thin body, quite watery. Below average, no character and not a pleasure to drink.

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 08/14. at Hirsch, Berlin, 20140421) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitines, sweetness, malts, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste had malts, grass and bitterness. A decent kellerbier.
