500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear amber gold, little to no head. Malty and herbal aromas. Light spice on the taste. Slightly sweet finish. Not bad.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, getreidig, leicht fruchtig. Geschmack malzig würzig, getreidig, leicht fruchtig.

Bottle, kindly donated by Dohny, many thanks. Light golden color with medium white head. Corn, grain, malt in aroma. Sweet malty taste with corn, grain, grass, caramel.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops with a touch of skunk. Bitter, hoppy flavour with distinct estery notes and a rather unpretentious paperlike finish. Not bad but rather anonymous.

Dark golden in color with foamy head. Malty nose and tangy malt in taste.Mouthfeel is medium with little lingering palate. Not strong in flavor, but easily drinkable.

Bottle.dark golden, offwhite big lacing head. Light dusty hay and grain malt base, Strong grassy and herbal hops which lead to a fairly dry mouthfeel in the finish. Otherwise chewy and nourishing.

50cl Bottle from Getränke Hoffmann Boxhagener Strasse. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is medium sweet, light floral, light grassy. Flavour is soft, smooth, light honey, malty, medium-sweet, light grassy bitter finish. Decent stuff.

Neutral aroma. Pale amber, off-white head, fair lace. Light sweet, lightly oxidized, light hoppy.

Half-litre flip-top bottle taken on 16 Apr 2011 in the excellent ’Aufsturz’, Berlin. This is a good example of a Southern German Pilsner, smoother than those from the north, but full bodied and showing all the favourable attributes of the style: clear, golden colour, snowy white head and a hop content which is notiveable but not obtrusive in any way. A little stronger than most Pilsners alcohol wise, but it hides it’s strenght well. Easy to drink and even with a slighty bitter hop aftertaste it is one of the best Pilsners I’ve ever had.
