Near black with no head. Malty aroma with toffee character, fruit and bourbon, and a touch of alcohol. Sweet malty flavour with caramel and chocolate, bourbon notes and lots of oak

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Black colour with brief, foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted, fruity nose with notes of oak wood, bourbon and vanilla. Quite vinous. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, bourbon, oak wood, vanilla, dried fruit, liquorice and a generous coffee bitterness in the finish. Full body, fairly sweet. Tasty imperial stout with a generous bourbon wood character. Very nice.

Bottle. 5K backlog. Pours dark brown. No head. Nose and taste of bourbon, smoked wood, sweet malt, chocolate wine, vanilla, caramel and sweet chocolate. Medium body.

Bottle from Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. Clear dark reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit and wood. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol. Smooth and soft. 190513

Bottle. Clear dark brown with small tan head. Aroma is malt, wood, roasted malt, bourbon and oak. Flavour is malt, roasted malt, sweet, vanilla, bourbon, oak, wood, caramel and toasted.

Bottle. Frothy off-white almost no head. Fully deminishing. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate swet powerfull bourbon flavor. Average bitter. Long vinius finish. Creamy palate. Too much bourbon.

33cl bottle, bottled 28-01-2013. Yet another of these big complex and boozy beers that leave me wondering why DeMolen is no longer bottling in their old 18cl format. The bottle was fileld to the top, so thanks for the extra 2cl. Brune foncée, col léger beige disparaissant vite. Arôme est plein de bourbon, ce dernier est généreux et rend une forte complexité. Note boisée, pointe de fumé et grillé sur un léger sucre caramélisé. Bouquet rend aussi une pointe de ce qui me fait pensé à des épices de Noël. Palais est ici aussi hautement complexe mais en restant dans une bonne mesure. Certaine épaisseur enb ouche avec une effervescence moyenne. Bourbon est vraiment très agréable, note de vanille, boisé/chêne américain presque fudge, le tout agrémenté par une fine amertume houblonné très plaisante.

Bottle @ Rooie Dop brewdungeon. Very dark brown colour, tan head. Nose is roasted malts, bit of chocolate, lots of vanilla and bourbon. Flavour is sweet roasted malts, vanilla, bit of chocolate, creamy, bit alcoholic. Pretty nice.

Bottled. A brown beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, alcohol, and caramel, leading to a dry roasted finish.

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a small white head. Aroma is wineous and fruity. Wineous, fruity and light wooden. Smooth bourbon really. Light chocolate malty. Almost wineous bourbon finish.
