Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin off-white head. The aroma is rich fruit and alcohol and I swear there was a hint of vinegar too, which surprised me. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a big fruit and alcohol, liqourice palate a super big beer with loads of flavour.

cloudy brown, small light brown head. vineous aroma, bourbon, clear woody notes, berries. flavor is cherryish sourish, sweet bourbon, woody tartness, licorice, Not sure if this is supposed to have the tart note to it,but it works pretty well. wood and bourbon works well too. unusually tasting, but very well tasting imp stout, quite complex.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown colour with a small beige head. It should’ve been more creamy to make me really happy. Smells sourish, slightly roasty.. I wonder if it’s infected. Tastes sourish, wood, roasty, minimal amount of liquorice, some alcohol, some bourbon sweetness. Medium to full body, soft carbo.

At a taasting, thanks zvikar, not too deep brown colour, aroma of bourbon, wood and vanila, flavour of vanila, whipped cream, some spiciness and stewed fruits and maybe a hint of roastiness, quite sour and vinous. Quite strange.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks zvikar. Brown-colored. Aroma of oak, whiskey and vinous notes. Slightly sweetish flavor, alcoholic with light roastiness, vanilla, dark fruits, wood, vinous notes and acidic notes. Tastes more vinous than bourbon-y and nothing like an Imperial Stout.

Bottle from Pibar, Lausanne
Dark brown color, with very low carbonation, and almost no head. Nice aroma of lightly roasted malt and sourish fruits; not too strong, not complex, but pleasant. Good body strength, with lean mouthfeel and light carbonation; very good flavor of caramel with a touch of malt, roasted malt and chocolate; it has a light herbal touch, and moderate fruity character; good bitterness level; warming alcohol feeling; the final has a lot of dark caramel and light liquorice, and a touch of fudge.
In this hot summer night it works well, with its dynamic character; it seems wine barrel aged more than bourbon barrel aged.
