Bottle split on the train to Windsor, thanks to the Wingmane, 17/11/15. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is liquorice, charr, light roast, aniseed balls, spice, bitter hop, tropicana blanket. Taste comprises light soap, liquorice, dark malt, light spice, chocolate, charr. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with earthy bitterness. Decent enough CDA, doesn’t quite deliver on the ABV, a touch harsh and floral at times.

Bottle from POV shared with me Boi. Pours black with large tan head, had a little gush on opening. Faint hops on the aroma, tastes harsh with not much hops in the finish compared to weeder CDAs. It’s OK.

pours a hazy dark chestnut with a small beige head and a nice lacing, like a cup of black coffee. aroma of toasted malts, sprucy hops, ammonia. flavour of burnt raisins, bitter chocolate. oily and chewy mouthfeel, long bitter finish. alcohol is extremely well hidden. nice.

Bottle shared with Sarkynorthener cheers Martin; dark opaque brown pour with a frothy tan head, aroma has rich roast and a hint pine, taste has some decent resinous pine, roast malts.

Draft @ Uiltje bar. Black pour. Aroma of hop, passion fruit and coffee. Nicely balanced taste of passion fruit, peach, coffee and roasted malt. Tasty one.

Draft at Uiltje. Pours near black with a tan head. Aroma of grassy hops, weeds, roast, caramel and a little dark chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Tap at Uiltje bar. Almost black with creamy beige head. Quite some roasted malts up front, black berries, light coffee, some citrus peel towards the finish. Light sweet with medium roasted finish. Medium bodied. Not really an IPA but a decent stout.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by dEnk. Very hazy almost opaque dark brown to black color, average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, dark malts, bitter, hops, slightly a metallic hint. Decent body and carbonation. Quite decent.
