This heavy winter warmer unites all the beauty of the Duits & Lauret Stout with a powerful mouthfeel and a warming aftertaste. Due to its fullness and balance, it can be perfectly combined with winter stews and pronounced blue cheese.

Huge, dark cream/beige head over virtually black beer, pouring viscously leaving some lace. Coffee, chocolate (black & flaked). Bit of speculoos, and cigarashes. Ashes return more strongly in the flavour, making it pretty dry. Bit of dark chocolate, faint mocha/coffee. Faint alcoholwarming; very full MF, slick to viscous, still good carbonation. Good stout!

From bottle at Winterbierfestival Gouda 2016. Opaque black. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of caramel, dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla, followed by a medium long, roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, flat. Very nice!

0,33l bottle at home. BB 16/11.2018. almost black color, rather big coffee-colored head. smells earthy, light licorice, some roast, spices, light wood, light coffee, bitter chocolate. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, full mouthfeel. tastes earthy, licorice, some dried fruits, a bit cardboardish, spices, peppery, some alcohol, some earthy bitterness, a bit soapy even. finishes medium dry with notes of licorice and earthy notes. quite good beer, missing some roast notes, but overall drinks quite nice if a bit heavy.

33cl bottle @home. Pours black in color with a dense brown head. Coffee, roasted malt, some chocolate in aroma. Flavor has dark chocolate, hops, roasted malt and ashes. Dry ashy finish. Gets sweeter as it warms up. Paired nicely with chocolate cake.
