Tart, Refreshing Wheat Ale

Our Blood Orange Gose is an expression of how great a kettle soured beer can be. A careful hand during the souring process and liberal additions of blood oranges during fermentation impart tangy citrus notes that complement the bright gose flavors, creating a complex and sessionable ale perfect for any occasion.

Bottle, enjoyed eight months before bbd. Pours slightly hazy yellow, with a big creamy head receding to finger thickness. Aroma is lactic acid and salty whiffs, as well as rhubarb and citrus peel. Light body, with average to fizzy carbonation. Flavour is salty, lactic acid, with fruit peel and notes of rhubarb. Light lactic finish with minerals.

Can, 0.355l. Pours cloudy deep golden color with medium frothy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of wheat, blood orange, lemon and spices. Taste starts light sweet grainy, following is refreshing fruity, slightly salty and a bit dusty with notes of tannins, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is smooth without any bitterness. Light body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. Very good juicy and salty refreshment...

Salziger, angenehm fruchtiger Beginn. Die vorhandene Säure ist außerordentlich gering und scheint weitestgehend von der Blutorange auszugehen. Steigende Bitterkeit, die Fruchtigkeit nimmt ab. Leicht trockener Abgang, süffig. 10/11/11/10/11/11

Can hazy pale light golden orange. Tart crisp lacto flavors with a touch of the orange. Very tasty

More blood orange in smell than in taste. Sour and saltyness competing to be stronger, throws it out of balance. Tasty, but could be better.

CAN 22 OZ. Cloudy orange, fast diminishing head. Orangey and cidery nose. Pleasantly salty, hints of orange pulp clashing into prickly lactic tartness. The finish is lactic still, a tad heart burning and just a little bit cheesy. Drinkable.
