One of the special limited brews for Borefts 2016. Bittere noodzaak is a Dutch way of saying something is a dire need, it really , really has to be done. And bitter also means: bitter. Literally it translates as Bitter & Need.

Bottled on 08-09-16. Bitter indeed, and quite a lot as well. Resiny hops. Some fruity notes. Quite dense, for its style. Not bad at all.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, bottled 80-09-16 BB 08-09-17, large sample. Slight hazy amber color, medium frothy head. Aroma of grassy hop, bit caramel, soft candy or bubblegum. Medium grassy bitterness, bit citrus. Could use a bit more hop, or a little less alcohol, or a bit more balance. You could sell this in a can as zwerverpils, although ofcourse this is far better than the average 8.6 lager.
