Tap, Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Piney resinous hop, booze and sweet malt in the nose. Flavour was sweet and had the anticiapted mound of hop bitterness whilst masking the abv pretty well. Maybe lacking a bit of finesse, but probably the best Spanish beer I’ve tasted thus far.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: Pours orange with white head. Aroma is sugary, floral hops, a little bit of citrus. Taste is a tad bitter and hoppy. It tasted a little bit like this might have sat for too long on the transatlantic journey. Malty, sweet. Hop character is alright, but underwhelming. Meh.

Pours hazy gold into a snifter. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Cloying caramel and dough aromas. Dark, earthy undertone to a sweet toffee start turning to bitter roots before the lasting hot caramel finish.

12 oz. bottle, pours an opaque murky orange with a tiny off-white head. Nose is full of hempy hops, loads of resin, some grapefruit and big sugar caramel malt. Flavour is very potent, with loads of bitter grapefruit, tangerine and other tropical fruit, with big resinous hops, a thick caramel malt backbone and some residual sugars. Body is extremely thick for a IIPA, almost with the viscosity of motor oil. Finishes with a very harsh astringency, and high fruitiness. Not at all an easy drinking hop bomb. Decent, but way too heavy, astringent and malty.

5 oz. glass on Draft @ When Pigs Fly. Aroma is floral and pine. Taste upfront is grapefruity, with flowers. The backend of the sip gives me piney hops, a touch of passion fruit, and a light cracker malt backing. The malt gives me caramel to help balance the hops. The only reason I knew the ABV is 11.5 % is because the menu and Ratebeer told me so. Nicely balanced IPA all the way around. I would order this if I ever see it on draft again. Nicely made brew.

Fermentorum. Pretty slammed when I tried this plus the guy collecting glasses was being a pain in the arse. Hazy amber beer, little white head. Crispy palate. Big hops - skunk, marmalade, spicy pine, resin, grass. Finishes surprisingly light and crispy!
