(500ml bottle from Systembolaget) Pours extremely dark mahogany with a big beige head that fades to a cap with some lace. Aroma of . Flavour is somewhat sweet dark malt with dark bread and a little treacle tone, dry toasty roast, moderately smoky notes of campfire and subtle smoked ham, oak, pretty dry on the back end where the smoky, ashy notes overpower the malt. Low bitterness. Fairly light bodied with extremely low carbonation. A solid smoke beer, but for me it was not the match of either the Fastenbier or the doppelbock.

Flaska från SB. Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, aska, knaperstekt bacon, rök, med toner av trä och torkad frukt. Rund och len, krämig, oljig, fruktig, jämna fina smaker, god balans, fin beska. Mycket gott!

50cl bottle from Sip, Tallinn. Pours clear dark mahogany coloured with a modest, beige head. A bit milder smoke aroma than expected, but it’s still dominating. Malt, caramel and hints bonfire. Sweet, but quite balanced also surprisingly balanced flavourwise with pleasant smoke flavours and hints of dried fruits. Smooth and enjoyable.
