500 ml bottle. Murky dark brown, medium beige coloured foamy head. Toffee, scotch, smoke, liquorice, roasted malt, burnt breadcrumbs, brown sugar, a lot of caramel. Caramel sweetness, some bitterness. Full bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, sweet finish. Nice but too sweet in my opinion and I miss some more smoky notes in this Doppelbock.

500 ml. bottle THANKS to SinH4 & split with SinH4. Very dark brown ruby amber, small tanned head. Nose is pure bacon, maple syrup, bark, bbq wood syrup, bark,… So much bbq syrup thick molasses bark, mocha, almost gravy, pure massive gravy bbq oak syrup,… Spectacular.

0.5l bottle. Malty aroma, roasted malts, coffe notes, dominant smoked line. Dark brown color, with ruby red shades, beige head. Malty taste, dominant smokeness, light coffee notes, roasted malts, light sweet, medium bitter. Full body, oily texture, soft to average carbonation and malty bitter-sweet finish with smoked line. Good.

Bottle at home. Deep chestnut brown with creamy beige head. Super balanced Smokey caramel, molasses and dark fruit. Aroma has some apple smoked, caramelized pork in it. Great!

Aroma Røykakjøtt, malt, torv, tjære. Utseende mørkebrun med beige skum som daler. Smak malt, mørke frukter/ svisker, krydret mørk karamell, byggmalt/syrup. Fyldig og smaksrik, god balanse og godt avrundet ettersmak. Flaske delt av DjOeye på Hamna O Bier, 50cl 6,5% BF0618

Bottle pour. I think I had this beer really early on in my craft beer journey, and didn't really understand the style. Certainly wasn't on board with it as much as I am these days. I picked this as my secret ingredient for my semi annual batch of chili, so with half the bottle left over, I get to enjoy/rate this finally. A near black pour, but a thinner appearance. A nice smokey aroma and flavor that doesn't necessarily overwhelm the product. Has that smoked meat reminder for me, which I think will pair wonderfully with the chili. A sipper for me. A nice, unique, and fun beer to have. I'll enjoy this again someday, hopefully at the source.

22-12-17 // 500ml bottle. Purchased at Getränke Stumpf. Dark brown with a beige head. Smokey ham nose. Aroma if sweet malts, brown sugar smoothness. Bread with ham and smoked wood on top. Great.
