If your are really, really trying to find something and you have looked almost literally EVERYWHERE, the Dutch tend to say: I looked all over the city and country! (Stad & Land) And some times it's also at the same time an excuse for you not finding it and making it someone else's fault. ;) But no worries, we 'found' it, a winning recipe for this one-off beautiful red ale, limited available in keg & bottle. Translates as City & Country.

Golden-brown. This is a phenol bomb...something not right, here. Light body, bit yeasty. Not much character. To me, this is a yeasty, weak, It's a bit crackery and there's really not a whole lot going on positive.

330mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark amber with a monstrous beige head. Aroma is so massively yeasty, with earthy yeast, subdued hops, and bready malt. Flavour is very yeasty and messy, with dirty earthy yeast, faded hops and some cardboard. This is really poorly brewed. So yeasty and overly carbonated. Shit.

Almost clear amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin malts bring a light creamy sweetness. Decent pine and a little marmalade and orange peel. Trace of spice. Whisper of berry fruits. Light dry finish. Clean and drinkable.

330ml bottle. As Dasher & Dancer. Pours a hazy red-amber with a huge, frothy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, floral, yeast, rye bread, grapefruit and pine. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, grapefruit, tea, earth, rye and pine with a dry, bitter grass finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. A tasty, hoppy amber ale.

Bruin bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag die lang blijft staan. Smaak is licht bitter en fruitig met iets van zwarte thee en grapefruit.

Bottle shared with SinH4 @ hotelroom. Hazy amber-ish color, huge foamy off-white head. Light hoppy notes in the aroma, but I don't get them in the flavor. Flavor has malts, maybe some caramel, bitter. Don't get much more. Way overcarbonated which is very annoyingly present.

Bottle. Hazy amber color with beige head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, some tropical fruits. Taste is caramel, earthy, toffee. Bitter finish with a hoppy aftertaste. High carbonation, too high if you ask me. Tasty and decent, but not outstanding.

Draught at Bryggerifestivalen 2017. Shared with Finn. Pours a clear brown coloured body under a huge fawn-coloured head. Spotty lacing. Bread, almond and leaves on the nose. Well blended taste of almond, herbal hops and brown malts. Rounded mid-sweet ending. Medium bodied. Pleasing. (Trondheim 04.08.2017).
