If your are really, really trying to find something and you have looked almost literally EVERYWHERE, the Dutch tend to say: I looked all over the city and country! (Stad & Land) And some times it's also at the same time an excuse for you not finding it and making it someone else's fault. ;) But no worries, we 'found' it, a winning recipe for this one-off beautiful red ale, limited available in keg & bottle. Translates as City & Country.

Draft @ Planet Oedipus ’17. Rather clear deep ruby red color. Off white (light beige) head. Aroma’s: caramel malts, grainish. Retronasal it’s grainish, fruity. Flavor is grainish, moderate bitter. Light bodied. Moderate bitter finish.

On tap at Planet Oedipus. Amber colour, white head. Aroma of tea leaves, typical leafy hoppy De Molen stuff, caramel. Flavour of amber malts, some caramel, hop tea, very leafy, grassy, wet hops. Light bodied. OK.

Tap at Planet Oedipus festival. Slight hazy amber with big cream colored head. Fresh herbs, grassy hops, light caramel malts, dried apricot. Nice fruity notes with decent malts. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a bit dry finish.

Bottled 11-07-17. Fairly hoppy red ale. Very easy drinking, reasonably bitter, some sweet roastedness. Not bad, bit watery, though.
