The double beer packs a spicy surprise thanks to the added cloves, star anise and licorice root. The beer has an exotic flavor and a pleasant slightly sweet finish.

Bottle shared at Rootz. Hazy reddish brown with beige head. Speculaas, lots of herbs, aniseed, caramel, sugar, drop, just massive herbs and spices with a bit of sweet malts. Quite sweet with herbal bitterness. Medium bodied. Quite overdone.

330ml Bottle - Dark brown with a haze and a foamy head. Mince pies, cloves, raisins and marzipan in the aroma. Fruity and spicy taste with raisins, caramel, nutmeg and cloves standing out.

Aroma is herbal and a bit medicinal. Flavour has clove and herbs. Similar to bitters like Jagermeister and Unicum. Technically good but not to my taste.

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Poured a clear light brown with a thin whispy off white head. The aroma is yeast, sweet malt. The flavour is medium sweet with a yeasty, alcoholic fruit, light molasses, bitter sweet palate and a lingering sweet bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Very little life at all it must be said and it’s way too sweet and the mix of flavours doesn’t work at all.

Bottle from Daan. Thank you! Murky brown colour, white foam. Aroma of dry fruit, caramel and a lot of spices: cinnamon, anise and ginger. Light sweet with light bitter aftertaste. Decent beer.
