Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of roasted malt, wood, leather, smoked meat and herbs. Pours almost black color with thick creamy brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with rich and sweet roasted malt and fruity esters, follows by coffee, licorice and wood, mouthfeel is smooth, warm alcoholic and mild spicy, while finish is medium grassy bitter and umami. Full body, thick creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Slain with Sally & Swain...

Bottle from de Caigny, bottled 04-12-17 BB 04-12-27. Dark color, short frothy head. Aroma of peat, roast and dark chocolate. Quite peated in taste, but not too much, some chocolate and roast. Not too complex, but balance is good. Good beer.

Bottle shared with Beerhunter111 and Koelschtrinker. Fascinating deep and peated. Malty caramel, lots of Bowmore peated wood. Round and malty, very dry and prated woody. Great stuff.

Bottled 04-12-17. Another very solid De Molen imperial stout, as expected. Good body, hard bitterness, boozy. Some wood, with a lot of peat/Bowmore going on. Luckily the base is big enough to handle it. Not brilliant, but very tasty and well made.

Bottle at Bodney Manor - thanks to Ken. It pours opaque black wit ha small white head. The aroam is fresh, rich roasted malt, heady notes of Bowmore, toffee, toasted brown sugar, wood and damp earth. The taste is slick, sweet, sugary, burnt toast, charred wood, hard roasted malt, malt whisky, earthy, burnt tires and leather. Full body and fine carbonation. I don't really get as much peat as the others do, more scorched earth. I am more of a Laphroaig / Lagavulin drinker mind you... I find this one a big intense and rough around the edges. Fun tot try anyhow.

Bottle split at Bodney, thanks to Kenny, 12/04/18. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent light beige cap. Nose is spice, dried fruits, bitter chocolate, toffee, smoke. Taste comprises smoked malts, peated barrel, charr, oak, molasses, chocolate, brown sugar. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough stuff ... alcohol is kept well in check.
