2020 released bottle from Holiday Market. Pours a clear orange gold with a finger of off-white foam that lingers, then dissipates. Nice soapy lacing that lingers throughout. Punchy grapefruit, orange zest, tangerine and pineapple aromas. As it warms some toasted malt and pine. More citrus, pith, piney resin and toasted malt on the palate. Strong bitterness with toasted honey and citrus pith with a drying, pine finish. Feels light on the palate and easy to drink. Old school, but done well.

12 oz. bottle sent by Founders. It pours a slightly dark amber color, under a big head of foam. My first sniff was of Amarillo hops. Some pine and resin in the nose, and, I think, a bit of tropical fruit, even pineapple. The first taste is very hoppy, more bitter, then some resin comes in. Next up is a malty profile, kind of big, but not enough to over come the hops. Alcohol is apparent. This goes very big in bitterness, which overwhelms any floral or aromatic hop note. Definitely a stand-alone beer.

Draught, 9.8%. Seemingly no aroma. Cloudy dark orange colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is quite bitter. Has a woody bitterness and a slightly funky acidity. I do not know if the acidity is intended, but it is surprising in a DIPA. Tastes good, though. Peppery finish

Tap@Skaal, Copenhagen - amber hazy pour with a white head. Sweet malty and fruity with some tangerine and grapefruit, citrus peel, touch of hop spice, big solid malty backbone, pine needles, resinous bitter hoppy finish. Great old school dipa action. Lovely.

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, hops, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits, straw, hops, malt, alcohol, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish. Old school.

Sample at Bob's Bar. Clear copper-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Aroma of piney hops, citrus and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and caramel malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sampled @ Van Moll Fest 2018. Clear rusty orange color, average to decent sized white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, resin, pine, sticky hops, bitter, hop bitter. Full on old school DIPA. Not the best I've ever had, far from it, but I like it. 8-4-7-4-14

Sampled from tap at Van Moll Fest 2018. Clear, golden amber with a white head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny and slightly grassy aroma of mango, pine and some caramel. Quite sweet, malty, gently bitter, fruity-resiny taste of mango, orange jam and pine, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, resiny and grassy finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!
