Swing top bottle 50 cl. Pours golden with tiny impurities and a fizzy, quickly dissipating, white head. Clean, malty nose. Rich, malty body, faint floral hops and a very subdued bitterness. Pleasant drinking. 040225

Draught at Landgasthof Frohe Einker, Freiburg im Breisgau. Pours clear lightish golden with stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast, with botes of malt and mild touches of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of yeast and touches of malt. Papery aftertaste with acidic and estery notes. Acceptabæe.

Bügel-Fläschle (Dank am See!): Pale golden, a bit unclear, medium-sized and stable white head, mild sweetish bitter nose of dusty grains with traces of cooked vegetables and glue; mild bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied; short bitter-tart and glue finish. Not totally convincing...

Thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, small head. Starts mild, malty, modest dry. Light sourish notes, grasy hints. Okay.

0.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA' (Breisach am Rhein), best before May 2026. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, minimally grassy-spicy and a bit fruity-floral aroma of grains, straw and hints of lemon peel. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter taste of grains, some straw and light vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit musty finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth but quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Drinkable but not great.
Sampled from 0.5 l bottle, best before March 2018, courtesy of Koelschtrinker, thanks Roman! Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, a bit grassy-spicy aroma of grains and some straw. Moderately sweet, minimally bitter, slightly grassy-spicy taste of grains, some straw and a touch of cardboard, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.
