Richmodis Bräu, the former brewery of Richmodis Kölsch, was an independant brewery until 1998 when it was bought by Privatbrauerei Gaffel. Richmodis Kölsch was discontinued in 2010, in 2012 REWE bought the naming rights. Since then it's brewed for the REWE supermarket chain.

30/IV/16 - 33cl bottle @ Tilquin English Beer Festival - BB: 4/IX/16 (2016-491) Thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing the bottle!
Clear pale blond beer, creamy irregular white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: grains, hay, cow fodder, grassy, some citrus. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very malty, bit sweet, slightly bitter, metallic. Aftertaste: metallic, bit grassy, malty, little sweet.

33cl Bottle from REWE Stenten. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of sulphur at first, later on sweet lemon, floral, light malty, some honey. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, honey, sweet lemon, light lemony hop, light grassy, not really bitter. Light bodied. Nice.

Classic Kölsch with snow white, mousse-like, thin head which only remains stable on the edge of the glass. Light golden blonde colour, clear. Weak aroma of soft pale malts and a lemony touch, as well as green apple, minerals and straw. Smooth palate, mineral-like, light maltiness, drying in the end with a brief, shy but spicy hop bitterness in the finish. Subtle, refreshing and well-balanced as any typical Kölsch, but not much of a personality.

I am 100% sure i have rated this beer... and now it was gone... anyway 50CL bottle, yellow golden beer, with a small head, aroma and taste were typical Kölsch, not a bad beer.

Bottle picked up from a REWE supermarket in Koln, Germany, consumed at mums, Worcester, Friday 4th April 2014 Pours gold, busy carbonation, admittedly this has hardly been served in optimum condition its been bounced around in the boot of the car and a little warm, but I still don’t think its that great, too sweet, lacks bite, has an industrial feel about it,that said if served cold it may have been a bit better so I won’t mark it down for that. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

The beer starts quite watery, fresh and easy drinkable. The mainpart is a bit malty, smooth, not really watery but has a lack of aroma - a typical Kölsch ;)
The aftertaste is smooth, hints of bitterness, slightly sweet, easy drinkable.
As I said - a typical Kölsch. :)

Bottle from Koln Hbh. Malty nose, light citrus and grains. Sweet and malty flavor, lager-like, lightly fruity with citrus and grassy hops, very low bitterness. Light, sweet. Pretty useless, but drinkable.

500ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour with small to average, frothy to macropore, diminishing, white head. Aroma has notes of hay, straw and grain. Taste is minimally sweet grainy and pale malty, hop notes in the finish oscillate around bitter, metallic and soapy.

Slightly hazy golden color. Aroma has some malt and a bit of hops. Malty and sweetish flavor. Finishes with a very mild hoppy bitterness.

Bottle: Golden, visible carbonation, small white head; fruity, slightly papery nose; light bitter-sweet flavour with a faint sourish touch, lightweighted; mild short bitter-fruity finish. O.K., a nice summer drink without a big character......
