12oz bottle pours with a clear gold body that supports a full off white head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy Noble like hops that are a little herbal and grassy. Behind the hops lurks a pleasing maltiness that has a thin edge of biscuit malts to it. The taste starts with a nice bite of spicy hops that get just a touch earthy and faintly lime like. To midway the malts bubble to the surface to add a bit of depth and balance. The hops grow in bitterness into the finish. Pretty solid brew where the hops and malts play well together.

Bottle. Amber beer with a nice cream head. Light spice and light caramel aroma. Spice and citrus flavor with caramel. Medium bodied. Spice and light grapefruit lingers with light earth and caramel.

Sauerkraut nose, obvious but not strong. Dried leaves and nuts also present. Crystal clear amber, medium head. Dried leaves, caramel, nuts, grass. Very slight fusel alcohol presence. Full body, moderate carbonation. I like the hop and malt bills, rich in complexity and body. Has some detractors, however.

This is great because it really is a well brewed and tasty fest brew but because it’s SN it is freaking everywhere. There are others I like better but none I’ve drank more. Copper with a tan head. Earthy with light malt sweetness. Nice crisp and lightly dry finish. Very clean. Good ’fest bier.

Clear, moderately carbonated chestnut-copper body has a very small, thin, light beige head that fizzles to cover and then nothing.
Very fruity nose (cherries, apricots, nectarines) also shows a good deal of sourdough, dry hay and light caramel. No alcohol and it’s clean, but perhaps not a very good strength of aroma, all told.
Sweetness emerges immediately (caramel, cookie dough) and then becomes balanced by moderate hop bitterness and eventually succumbs to the carbonation and wateriness. Along the way there are some interesting sourdough and fruit notes. Fairly balanced and with enough maltiness for the style but the texture is just really sad here. It’s overcarbonated and what is there is rather fizzy and loose. As well, there’s very little richness of malt (suppleness) that one would expect from a top notch Oktoberfest. Still, it’s enjoyable enough, if rather disappointing for all of this "Collaboration with a small German brewery" business.

12 oz bottle purchased at Metcalf Discount Liquor (135th Street) in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a clear golden orange with an egg white one inch head that falls with a coating of lace. There is a ton of fine carbonation bubbles rising to the surface. The aroma is clean caramel malt, nice grassiness and a bit of toast towards the back. The taste is the malt; husky, softly sweet, cracked cereal grain, and a faint herbal mineral towards the back. Interesting malt expression, not really like any malt profile I can remember having. The palate is medium bodied, with softer natural carbonation and the malty, herbal grass finish. Nice one.

Pours a clear light gold with a 1 finger head of foam and has good lacing.

Smells slightly sweet, some grain, light bread, a bit earthy. A do get a mild hoppy note or 2.

Nice malt character in the taste. Some sweet notes, some bread, any grain is very much on the light side. Very mild bitterness in the finish.

Easy drinking cuz it has a great mouthfeel.

This is delicious.

Bottle. Light amber/orange body with a white head. Aroma of oranges, hay, toasted grain with hints of grass and bread. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, moderate to lively carbonation. Easy to drink though a bit on the sweet fruit side without deep malt flavors. Overall, enjoyable enough and better than many American Oktoberfests.

On tap at the Oktoberfest at CBB Bud. It pours a clear copper gold with a thin filmy head. The aroma is light biscuity malts. Crisp dry finish on a medium finish. It isn’t all that Märzen like but it’s a solid dry light malt character and bitting noble hops plus a bit of tobacco in the finish. Good but not really a Märzen in my opinion. A sweeter finish than the Left Hand Oktoberfest, it seems like it has been a bit tailored to a North American palette more than the Left Hand which is closer to the classic style I feel. OK.

Bottle. Pale amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of toasty caramel, biscuit, grass. Pretty gassy. Sweet with a lean towards dry at the moderately bitter finish. Fat and malty with some caramel, some earth and spices. Just a little harsh at the end. Pretty good in a style I find hard to love.
