Bottle very kindly passed onto me by Kostas at Kykao Microbrewery, Patras, Greece consumed at Kalianna Apartments, Lefkada Town, Lefkada, Greece, Tuesday 15th September 2020 listening to the new album by the Throwing Muses - Sun Racket. Cooking Moussaka. Pours hazy orange with hardly much of a head to speak of, dusty light resinous nose, soft mouthfeel. Taste is dusty as well the refreshing flavours of a typical wheat appear to have been totally undermined by the addition of the mastic. Ok.

33cl bottle. A clear dark golden beer with a off white head. Aroma of vegetables, herbs, wheat. Taste of dry herbs, vegetables, pale malt, yeast.

bottle from b for beer, chania, crete, greece. hazy orange, white head. very herbal aroma,in a way reminds me of hemp beer. mouldy note, green herbal note. flavor is mints, wheat, flowers. red hubbabubba bubble gum. sweet. you need to get used to it. i guess if you like hemp beer you might think this one is okay. Note aside, big kudos to the brewer for being original and trying shit out - this is the very first mastic beer i ever tasted (i think)

Op Chios ooit door de heuvels gewandeld met de mastiekstruiken. Het uiterlijk is nog goed, maar slecht idee om aan bier toe te voegen. Gewoon blijven gebruiken voor kauwgum. Gedronken uit flesje op Sifnos.

330ml bottle. Hazy, orangey dark golden to amber colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal, resinous aroma, notes of mastic, hints of pea, savory. Taste is initially herbal, resinous, notes of mastic, a touch of pea, savory, minimally sweet wheaty malty middle part with a fruity banana touch, dry, herbal-grassy finish with a touch of mint. Needs getting used to; nicely evolving taste exhibits successively different aspects of the mastic. A bit overdone - if the mastic was more supportive than dominant this could be a really nice brew.

Bottle @ benzai. Orange colour with a small white head. Smells quite horrible. Boiled lettuce, wet hay, slightly moldy, like a trimmed hedge. Tastes bad. Like I'm drinking some weird plants and sewage water. Not good.

Bottle [from Euro Swap 2018-3 thanks to Rouhlas] @ home. A bit unclear dark orange color, average sized off-white head that diminishes quickly. Aroma is an insanely strong aroma that remind me of asparagus in a bad way. Asparagus pee the day after eating them. Bloody hell. Flavor is asparagus water. Absolutely undrinkable imo. Jesus christ... Unbelievable.

330 ml bottle at home. Light cloudy golden orange color with off white head. Quite spicy aroma, full of mastic in the beginning, herbal, floral, some citrus, light malty. Sweet and light bitter taste, spicy like aroma. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
