Stag Beer has been brewing “Golden Quality Since 1851.” At the 2001 Great American Beer Festival, that quality was recognized with the Gold Medal as the Best American-Style Lager. Just more proof of what Midwesterners have been saying for years, “Stag Beer makes thirst a pleasure.”

LOL...I'm surprised there are only 18 ratings for this! I couldn't pass up the antlered, golden can I found in a Missouri gas station. Sure, Stag is no microbrew. I still enjoyed it. Compared to watered-down offerings by A-B or Miller, Stag is flavorful. Very sweet tasting, with definite adjuncts. 24 ounces of beer for 99 cents brings back memories!

The Kool aid of beers. Sweet, sweet sweet. No real flavor and almost to skunky to drink. Its $9 a suitcase of 24 here in st.lou and i think we all could spend a little more for a better beer.
