330ml bottle. Milky, faint dark amber colour with average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Fruity hoppy, minimally floral aroma, minimally bready, grainy malty basis, hints of white grapes, unripe nectarine, kiwi fruit, a touch of oat flakes. Taste is minimally dry, fruity hoppy, minimally sweet and bready, caramel malty basis with a floral honey touch, hints of green apple, kiwi fruit, white grapes; smooth and soft palate, gentle carbonation. Rather sweet and malty for a Saison.

Bottle shared, featuring a fantastic picture of an insane yellow flappy bird with 6 wings, lunatic eyes and feathers flying everywhere while the creature is in mid-squark. Truly an exceptional label and probably the most flappy I’ve seen on a beer yet. There really should be a score for rating the label design and if there was, this one would get a 10. Anyway, the beer is hazy orange with a short lived cream head. Aroma of malt, caramel, light sof herbal notes, light yeast, a little pepper and green weedy notes. Flavour is light to light moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation. Bonus points for the picture of the demented bird.

Bottle at home, 27th February 16. Aroma is slightly metallic, some yeast. Taste is clean, watery, not much going on. It’s fine, but nothing special

Dark golden colour. Pale malts dominate both the flavour and the aroma. Light yeasty, spicy taste. Interesting, different and a bit strange due to the massive level of malt.

(Bottle, Chez Moeder Lambic St Gilles, Brussels, 24 Oct 2014) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with apricots, orange and a touch of caramel. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, apricots, candy sugar and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.
